Coopération Bancaire pour l’Europe – GEIE is a company based in Brussels, established in 1992 at the initiative of several international banks with the goal of providing information and advisory services on European financing topics and programs. In the current environment, where the European Union’s areas of competence have expanded, along with their complexity, the role and function of CBE have become even more crucial. In a world where information overload has diminished its value, CBE ensures high-quality services thanks to its extensive experience and central position in Europe.

Over the years, CBE has consistently informed and assisted its members and their clients through numerous activities on various European issues. The Private Foundation Institut d’Estudis Financers (IEF) established the Barcelona Finance School (BFS) in 2023 to enhance financial sector competitiveness and innovation. BFS provides high-caliber training and research. Since 2015, IEF has been part of the OECD’s International Network on Financial Education (INFE), supporting national financial education strategies and promoting global financial literacy.

 

IEF-BFS is dedicated to the advancement of financial knowledge and the promotion of sustainable finance, including a master’s degree in finance, BFS prepares professionals for strategic financial decision-making in various sectors, including social enterprises and MSMEs. 

 

As part of its mission, the IEF-BFS  actively participates in European projects that seek to improve the quality of education, boost digitalization and promote inclusion in the financial sector. Through programs such as Erasmus+ the IEF-BFS collaborates with academic institutions, financial entities and European bodies to develop initiatives that strengthen the training of professionals, adapting Vocational Education and Training (VET) and other educational models to the needs of today’s labor market.

IDEC is a training consulting company located in Piraeus, Greece. It has been active for the last 20 years in the field of EU projects, with a focus on lifelong learning and European policies. IDEC’s activities include training, management consulting, quality assurance, evaluation, and the development of ICT and digital solutions for both the private and public sectors. The company collaborates with over 800 institutes across Europe and works with approximately 300 experts in various fields. 

 

IDEC has extensive experience in European projects, serving as a coordinator or partner in different programs and initiatives. As an accredited lifelong learning center, IDEC organizes in-service training courses for teachers and trainers, study visits, and informal learning activities for students in initial education and training. 

 

It also provides training courses and work placements for students in vocational training and individuals in the labor market. Based in Brussels and operating at the European level, European Union of the Deaf represents deaf sign language users in all 27 EU Member States, plus Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. EUD has the sole mandate of the National Deaf Associations to work towards a more socially cohesive, sustainable, and accessible Europe for deaf citizens realising their inherent human rights.

EUD aims to achieve equality in public and private life for deaf people all over Europe to ensure they can become full citizens. Its main objectives are the recognition of the right to use an indigenous sign language, empowerment through communication and information, and equality in education and employment.

Aiming to establish and maintain EU level dialogue with the European Union institutions and officials in consultation and co-operation with its member NADs, EUD also has participatory status with the Council of Europe (CoE) and is a full member of the European Disability Forum (EDF), as well as a Regional Co-operating Member of the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) to tackle issues of global importance. EUD regularly provides position papers on topics of high importance to the deaf community. EUD is supported by the Equality Unit within the Directorate General Justice at the European Commission.

The Emphasys Centre, was established in 1998, and operates as an Education, ICT Training Centre, Research and Software Development Centre approved by the Cyprus Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth. It is organized in 4 inter-related departments:

 

  • The Education Department which offers validated and accredited IT courses, as well as Career Counseling Services.
  • The ICT Training Department which includes two highly equipped units: (a) the STEAM Unit which offers courses to young people combining Robotics, 3D Design and Printing, as well as Coding through Video Game guided with ‘Lego Education Trainer’ instructors, and (b) EU Training Unit which provides wide selection of Erasmus+ KA1 Learning Mobility Courses for EU professionals and citizens.
  • The Research Department that works with several organizations on EU projects under a number of funds (e.g. Erasmus, AMIF, AAL, Justice)
  • The Software Development Department which is involved in the design, development, pilot-testing and evaluation of various e-learning tools, games, mobile apps, platforms, websites, applications and assessment portals etc.

Emphasys is an active member of many networks such as the European Digital Learning Network (DLEARN), CONNECT INTERNATIONAL and CRES – Centre for Research and European Studies – Future Business.
